Pierre's Visit

I'm still sleepy. Pierre was in town for a couple of days before he would head back to Jogja. Rizal and him were hanging out in our boarding house until half past 10 joking and telling stories about our friends. Pierre just spent his last 9 months in Ambon and he brought alot of news. We were catching up on stories about friends here, as well.

Anyways, their parents are quite 'someone' now. Geby's as well. Ha ha ha... And Pierre is giving away rumors about me getting paid $10 per second. Ha ha ha... I wish!

Rizal is working for Telkomsel 116 (Customer Service Representative) and he told us many funny experiences. Like how he always got midnight shifts and the security guard at his neighborhood thinking of him going 'dugem' (clubbing) or something. The next day he went home with his 'tag name' at 3 AM XDD

We also discussed how people in Ambon behave and what's trendy there. For instance, we have girls going crazy for any guys having an RX-King motorcycle. And how people choose to work in the government instead of chasing live fulfilment.

Working for the government in Indonesia are highly-deceiving. Small payment, unproductive work, huge..... corruption. I'm not saying that all government people are like that but most of them *sigh* This is where our tax money are spent? Lazy unproductive people? How will you take the responsible morally? But, I guess we don't have one anymore?

Pierre got me dried nutmeg sweets. Gees, who wrote that stupid section in the article about nutmeg? I eat it like a kilo once in a while and not feel any effect or what so ever.

Originally, we want to hang out at another place, but there wasn't so many people with us, it might not be convinience for my pocket ha ha ha. Anyways, we were teasing Pierre with the fact that he lived in a low-rate motel and a taxi driver asked him if he wants an 'entertainment' ^^; I told him, what if Rizal stayed in your room and at the morning the taxi driver will said: "No wonder you didn't want the 'entertainment' last night!" XDDD

Anyways, thanks for reading.

And, how this week was spent.

....

I would like to write something.
But it seems like I forgot most of the things I want to write.

Ajeng and Santi went for three days camping.
I want to go swimming, but my salary hasn't been transfered yet.

The landlady is being bitchy. You know how people talks sweet but they want something else from you. Well, yesterday, she insisted me paying the room boarding money, for it is not the 10th date already. If only did I have not had my manners, I will tell her that, if it wasn't for her sons who were making so much long-distance calls and not paying them ontime, I would do the same in paying you. >_<

I went out, wanna go to warnet, but got halted in Alfamart. Met Flo, Ellen and Evi there so I change my visit to Beby's boarding house instead. We ate at Neng Umi's first.

Stayed there to read and watch TV shows until 9 PM. Restu drived me home. He also bought our dinner. The tempe penyet that I ordered was quite cheap and delicious. Hot and spicy as well.

I took a bathe at Beby's because the yucky water at my own. Wanna know what the landlady would say if I protest the water? Well, you can always find a new boarding house? *rolls eyes* I want to. I'm sick and tired of counting you're good-for-nothing son phone bills and sick of having to listen to you speaking. For the record, I like Mbak Yulia in every way. I just hate those spoiling-parents of her in-laws.

Quite a busy day

Morning - @ Beby's. Watching the Oprah show on Matt Damon playing in Ocean's Twelve. Went to work. And finally bring the nutmeg sweets I promised Bu Nontje. ^_^; Brush up all those information architecture for library and write a very long essay on it.

Afternoon - Beby miscalled me to see Jandi in action. He's giving Powerpoint tutorial for the new kids from Eastern Region of Indonesia. No cute boys, pfft. XDD We're sort of pushing around who would go in first. The lab doesn't have Firefox! Tsk tsk tsk!

After hours - We're staying. I browse for more info on prices. US$ in Rupiah increases very fast. It's Rp 9910 the last time I saw it. Duh! I know I should've open a dollar account instead. Too late! I might have to postpone my computer upgrade shopping. Got locked in purposedly, because the staff in charge has to go out and bought dinner.

As night fell - Went out to get a haircut. It looked too cute on me. XD Went home with Beby, bathe there and went back here.

Eat til we drop

On Thursday, Beby spent the night here learning about CSS basics. She went home at 10? I finally found John Grisham's Bethreten novel and read them until late at night. At 6 (AM!!!!) Beby called me and asked whether she left her keys here. Yes, and that wake up call made me dizzy all day. I got up at 9 and being lazy until Ico called at half past 11. I have an appointment with her at 11!

We ate at Ho Chi Minh Cafe. This period is Vietnamese cuisine time. Somehow, it is just like Indonesian. Ico looks pretty stressed, that's why we ate quite a lot. Ha ha ha... The waiter kept recommending Banana Mania, each of us had that one and I also ordered caramel pudding (so sweet yet so bitter), while Ico had this small cheese-choco brownies. It's on her... ha ha ha I ate Ho Chi Minh Rice (fried rice) and Ico had this rice-vegetables-fish dish. The fish was excellent. It was grilled and poured with caramel and ginger sauce. Not bad.

I did some recommendation letter translation in return. I wondered, when I need recommendation letter, people that I asked will wrote them for me. But, in Ico's case, it's her that wrote it and then she will show those people the letter to be signed. I mean, wasn't this letter suppose to give description about what people think of us? Ico is not the only one, many people I know did this because their referee told them so. ^^;

After that, I'm concentrating on finishing the new library website. At 4, I went home and found myself sitting in front of the TV watching Korean drama! XD Sassy Girl Chun Yang, from the looks of it, the one that is sassy is not the girl, but the stupid boy. ^^;

At 6:30, headed for the cybercafe and do some work. I met Amai online, we chatted about living arrangements. XDD And I heard Ricky Martin's latest song amongs those house music and dangdut commercials. Really, you cannot know what you expect by hearing WijayaFM in Surabaya.

And damned, I can only see cover to Skip Beat chap #74. T_T

Internet Lame Connection

(internet connection rambling)

I read Cecelia Ahern novel over weekend. The title was "PS: I love you" It's so real. Prepare a box of tissue with you. Even though I doubted her for the book cover said she's an Irish PM's daughter, the story itself feels very "real". It's witty and not yucky.

At Saturday, because my favourite cybercafe went off, I have to go to MitraNet. Slow as hell. Warnet these days, you can download too much of anything!

I went to Beby as well, pay my advance on the room I want to rent next month.

Moving Books

Dragging boxes of books is really troublesome.

What on earth did I pile up to this in 6 years? This is just 6 years of my life in those boxes!

And that's only books. I haven't started with magazines. I have limited CDs.

And the rack, the table, the computer table. Arrrgh!

Moving is such a hassle, but I couldn't stand with the current one.

Haven't had the time to say anythin to them, anyway.
