I'm still in Jakarta

Apart from my planned scheduled to be home today, I'm still stranded in Jakarta, because of my stupidity.

I forgot my ATM card! I changed to a new wallet before the trip and I forgot both of my ATM card. Not that Niaga card would meant anything, because, both job salaries are transfered to the Lippo card, still, it would be better if at least bring one. But, come to think of it, it's better this way. I arranged Wati to send me some money to Ey's BCA account. It was here when we checked it. Pheew.

I tried on bajay on the first day I was here. Riding to MTA. XDD Haven't watch Passion of the Christ in the theatre. And didn't went to TMII, because it was late when we woke up and none of us know how to get there. XD And didn't went to ak.sa.ra, for we were too tired. And we haven't visit my aunts and cousins and nephew and niece.

Bookstore day

Met some LJ-ers in the bookstore day.... Dhieta hugged me tightly... :D Anne suprisingly is so tiny in person *digetok* yet adorable Leez picked me, my sister (Ey), and her house mate before. And we went browsing from shelf to shelf from one end to another. But, others, went rampaging the manga and artbook section, I think. Was also introduced to ...er..., Feby? I wish I could remember people's name better. *bowing*

It's sucks

I don't have any connection to the internet from Friday 3 PM - Monday 8 AM for like two weeks in a row! There are no cybercafe near my boarding house. I hate it! Could only blog to my mobile blog. Which is way too primitive. I need to transfer it to mblog.com, but I'm too lazy.

Er... Udah pada liat iklan sinetronnya bintang AFI 1 ga? Duh, gw mo muntah banget! Beneran tuh sinetron bakalan ditayangkan? Ga salah, tah?

And for the first time in months since April... I'm flat broke. I have only 7K in my wallet. XD

Mbak Lusi's wedding ceremony was yesterday. My current boarding mate that went there were Angie and Dewi. Wati catch us up about an hour late. The food was so-so... but it's okay-lah!

Great.

Happy Independence Day, Indonesia!

It's good to see the events. Eat krupuk, ran around with marble on your spoon, jumping inside a sack, and climb a slippery pinang! XD I don't do it, though. It was in the past. Anyways, Pak Des Alwi was interviewed yesterday in SCTV and he showed a never-published-before footage of Bandung when the youth shouted out that Indonesia is free at last. The old man is pretty old now, since I last saw him. Time flies.

There were also interviews with Garin and that Papua kid in TransTV. The kid has won an award which includes extra fund for him to complete his PhD in whatever institution that he choose. Thanks for his contribution in the world of physics.

I ate bubur sum-sum yesterday. It was said that the pooridge is for tiresome people. It does! Made of rice starch and melted brown sugar. Really healthy indeed.

Watched The Kid. Gosh, I really like Bruce Willis sometimes.

And while talking to Selvi (my boardmate), we laugh at the Djarum 'True Friendship' commercial. It sends more 'gay' message than 'friendship' The other 'True Friendship' commercial is also worth laugh at, but because of its purity... I don't remember what ad it was, but here's the summary:

Some pre-teens boys are gathered to make final preparation for their competition. Although, the leader said that all should wear white, one of the boy only have black shoes. So he painted it. Overnight, there was a heavy rain, so the color faded. The next day, seeing his shoes, the leader made up his mind.

They went barefoot....

Quick interesting post

I've been always wondering about the guy who made Google Doodle. Check out Google during Athens 2004 Olympics everyday. He's cute isn't he?

Remember my rants on dry toilets a couple of years ago? Here's a more crazier stuff. Toilet tissue position.

CSS Lure

Which one is better? Yahoo! Intl. Avatar site or the Yahoo! Japan Avatar site?

A trip to the CSS Vault sure made my day. I'm looking for inspiration for the next layout of feature sites for my campus: tourism, east java, eastern indonesia region, and science. I've looked some in the 4templates.com. And in the TemplateMonster.com. Nothing noteworthy in the latter. CSS Vault has this site. It's a beauty indeed. I'm adding that to my bookmark.

Juiced Thoughts is good, unfortunately the look of entries below doesn't. I haven't read the content though.

Boo, scary! At least you could smile. But, the pictures in this site is great.

OMG! I wish I wish I wish!

A boarding house like this? It's a dream come true! Really! But, why does the price for New Year's eve is impossible?

Yawn!

Hanakimi scanlation is up to chapter what? I have untranslated chapter 142 only.

I skip working yesterday. I still have lots of things to do. The New Petra site isn't finished. I'm too lazy working on the campus map.

On the bright side, I got a new sponsor. I don't have to worry anymore about financial problem. He he he.

It's cho beri cold! XD

We have a book fair here. And just as the GA promotional offer in Jakarta, we got the rebate offer, trade in your old printer for 250K discount for a new Epson printer. Cool, but I don't have the rest 700K! >_<

I bought a new diary book, which eventually will be used to write almost everything. Anda Suki Dakara Suki vol. 3

I've decided to cut half of my comic subscription because one of the following reason: limited budget, lack of interest, terrible story, and most of all, lack of spaces. I've been stacking my magazines for months now. And most of my comics are *cough* leave unopened and those who are opened aren't covered with plastic covers anymore. T_T

I like to cover my comics perfectly, means with good plastic, no tapes nor staples, nor glue of any kind. What am I talking about, my right hands is freezing now.

Sorry folks..

No everyday journal today.

What Every Novice Translator Should Know

Translation Journal. And the blog.

I was looking for types of translation or level of translation, besides acceptable. I think the first link satisfies me, but if you have another link, please do.

And, probably, a certain someone, would find this link useful. I found it while searching for Attention Deficit Disorder.

And a happier note... I got myself some free yaoi manga! Yay!
