OK

Kemaren kasih liat homepage PCU ke pak Yo. Paling tidak udah lepas beban 80%-lah.

Papa telpon beta hari Senin, ngobrol ngalor-ngidul, cuman buat abisin pulsa. XDD It's the second time in 4 and a half years did I speak to him. Seperti biasa, Satelindo jelek sekali. Kadang-kadang suara kita hilang. Ato mungkin karena beta dah biasa di kota besar jadi seng biasa deng sinyal jelek.

Sekarang lagi mendinginkan tubuh abis makan :p

Book Review

I just help tutoring Evi for Operation Research, not that I'm good at it, though :p

I found some books to keep me entertained while waiting for her to finish the exercises, it's in the reading list below right.

I've borrowed Color Harmony: Naturals and talk about the possibilities of using it with Ey last night. I'm definetely going to borrow the Pastels.

The book with most un-interesting cover has the most interesting article you would've expected. The re-inventing of the Garuda Indonesia Airways. Do you know that our local airways, use to had Orange as the main color scheme? Man, even the seats are orange. XDD

I really like this one. Great typography!

Pheew!

Finished the PCU homepage and inside template with CSS (tableless). Yay, but I'm also dead hungry :p And Pak Yo insisted that I reduce the top heights. T_T Far from Yay! At least, I know it's not impossible. Also tested the homepage accesibility. And it's okay.

Insightful Composition

That's another term for the essay I'm sending to the Essay Competition as printed in the Certificate of Participation. It's weird to look at the post stamp. It's in French! And instead of ephi, the address printed for ephE. Great! Grr! They also sent me a sticker with this year's theme: May Peace Prevail on Earth.

I fell the other day, trying to push Meme's cart box into her last room. And the bump shows up days later. Its a mix of pale green, scarlet and that sort of colors. It's even far more terrible than the previous one, when I fell on the stairs a couple of months ago.

Posters

Been reading alot about UPC lately. It's Universal Product Code, the barcode in your stuffs.

I don't think I failed ADSI test, but, who knows?

After the ADSI test, I saw an announcement about an essay competition held by the UN about the Implementation of Millennium Development Goals in Indonesia by 2015. However, the essay competition is not announced in the website. You have to look for information in your local universities' (for those who study in Indonesia) announcement boards.

I also saw CCNA certification program poster. Electrical students will be able to transfer 12 credits by enrolling this, while Informatics only got 6 credits? For 5.5 mil, that's just too much!

During Kids' Christmas, I browsed for more information on the UN essay competition and then copy lots of their campaign ads, reports, and brochures.

After Kids' Christmas ended, I brought the digital camera home. So far, I took pics of my current room. Hope I can transfer them soon

Saw a child getting a heart operation reminded me on bed in a hospital years ago. Frighten and unsure.

Ratu appears in Indosiar's Pesta. Lipsync. I'm not sure if that's Pingkan, though.

The phone bill arrive today, Lidya done the preliminary accounting job, I just finish the rest using Excel. Wati had a single phone call that cost her 84K? *raises eyebrow*

The new parttimer, Daniel asked do I know Arie? Huh? He's sitting right behind that glass wall, of course I know him, lah! He's also our private driver-lah! ( Who throw shoe at me?) What kind of a silly question is that? I didn't say that to him, though. He kept praising how bright Arie is... bla bla bla. He talks alot. But, he's nice so far. Hey, I just realize this, all we need now is a new parttimer with Nirina as her name, to complete the MTV crew.

My Brain Usage Profile

Take this from Wannabegirl.org.

Auditory : 43%
Visual : 56%
Left : 72%
Right : 27%

ephi, you are somewhat left-hemisphere dominant and show a preference for visual learning, although not extreme in either characteristic. You probably tend to do most things in moderation, but not always.

Your left-hemisphere dominance implies that your learning style is organized and structured, detail oriented and logical. Your visual preference, though, has you seeking stimulation and multiple data. Such an outlook can overwhelm structure and logic and create an almost continuous state of uncertainty and agitation. You may well suffer a feeling of continually trying to "catch up" with yourself.

New Design

For those who reads my tabulas via a friends page, you can see my new layout here. It's not really a final version for the layout, but do comment on it. It's supposed to be valid XHTML and CSS, but due to tabulas template, it's not anymore. T_T

This week is full with the spirit of Christmas. On monday, we have staff's christmas in the atrium of Petra Building W. It's quite windy, but everybody seems to have join in for fun. I took alot of pics, but it seems that pics with Informatics lecturer turn out to be blur XD At night, we have University Christmas celebration. Me and Lidya sat behind rector and his wife. Man, there were so many mosquitos. And I wore sleeveless! And today, kids from Religious Center just came to do a Christmas Carol.

I'm so desperate with tabulas non-standard compliant template! >_< plus it's so damned cold in here.

Two days to this semester's finals. I haven't study, I'm too lazy to do that. I'm not even doing anything this past days. Except went to develop the negative of the film that's been on the top of my cupboard for ages.

Tried blogrolling and blo.gs today, it's just somewhat frustrating when your fingers is icy cold.

Today is my first day of finals for this semester. My Birthday Star is Chi, will change within a month or so.
And I'm too smart for my salary, obviously!

I flunked at my tests today. I'm also tired of carrying my stuff around. I brought three stacks of books and papers with me to the campus, it's really heavy. I haven't book tix to Jakarta, neither bought plastic to seal Meme's computer and stuff, and alot of stuff, I should've completed. And the Accounting Information System book dissapeared from the shelf, I guess I couldn't borrow it

Monster

I just realized that Icchan Jie burn not just Karekano and Marmalade to the CD she gave me. There's monster in it. I don't know who wrote the story, but definetely it's the same mangaka who drew Yawara! and my old time favorite, Master Keaton. *sobs* I still regretting the fact that I left them at home! My books! *sobs* (Mom: Your luggage is already VERY over limit when we sail to Surabaya! )

I think I saw the review on Animonster. *looking* Hm... Brother Bear is reviewed here (#57) it doesn't mention anything about the soundtrack being sung in 6 languages: English, French, Spanish, Germany, Japanese, and Italian. I managed to downloaded the English version, but no hope on finding the rest. Phil Collins sung them himself. Except for Japanese, the other version are flawless, IMHO.

*finished* Oh, well, probably it is in Meme's Animonster. Anyway, I have to remind her, that my Animonster is packed with hers T_T The HikaGo one.

I'm going to continue reading Monster now, Ja!

Blah!

Blogging has become more and more boring. I think I'm going to put this blog into hiatus until I got back from Jakarta on Jan 7th. Although, I might blog from warnet, but that's not a guarantee, though.

Err, Sean, Kyo, Bobby, Shun, Leez, tYaS, Dhieta, etc., when shall we meet? I'll be available from Dec 23rd thru Jan 5. These dates are out of questions: Christmas, New Year, and Jan 6 (my auntie and my father's b'day, so does Leez's but I cannot go to her place T_T).

(I'm running out of cash)

Take the test here. My report card is hopeless, so basically, I cannot differentiate Chinese, Japanese, and Koreans! XDD

Change of plan! My sis just informed me, that she cannot host me for the holiday. What am I supposed to do? LEEZ, can I stay there instead? Errgh, I hate it when plans doesn't work as planned. Probably because of my sins, too. One way or another, I'm going to drag Abang Rizal to take me to the ticket counter tomorrow and re-schedule my departure to the 24th instead. Geh, I won't be needing that loan now! >_< Sh~t!

The trip was cancelled

It was extreemly boring in the library today. First, as some of you might notice (or not!), I cancelled my trip to Jakarta, so I was kinda sad over that. Second, the internet connection went on and off (again!) since morning. I want to search Phil Collins' Look through my eyes other versions, but I don't know the title of those other versions. But, I don't think there's any hope with that kind of connection. I switch the new design for DwiPekan to a CSS layout.

Uhm, I forgot! Happy mother's day, Mum!

BTW, do any of you peeps know who is or who are Con Whait Twity? I'm sure the spelling isn't correct. My father wrote this in his SMS a couple of days ago.

I re-read my Indonesian copy of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. There's alot of things I might not able to cope, I look through what this book have to say, it always brought me up. I re-read it every 6 months or so.

I'm back in my own room. So, welcome back large room and smelly sewer in the back No more rice fields, since they had cut it down for allowing more buildings to rise. Boarding houses like mine.

Christmas

Duh, it's a long time since I write any entry. I got only 13 SMSes during Christmas. One of them is in incompatible message format.. ^^; One of them ask whether I slept or not. One plead me to always be a nice person. O_o And a friend since kindergarden send me an empty SMS!! Huh? The others are nice. :p

To Dhieta, Icchan, Neko and tYaS, thanx! And Merry Christmas to the rest. And a happy belated birthday for Enrique Martin Morales Negrito or Kiki. I saw his two performances lately. One in MTV Latino VMA and one in Silencio del Alma. Do I wrote that right? I felt like a bad fan here. But, my, his performance is just like the old times. Except for his hairdo. I wish other artists are like him while singing, even though their voices are not that good. You sing something and you sing it from your heart.

I saw a show about Christmas symbols the other day. It's fine, but the more I think about it. What's that got to do with Christmas? Christmas is the time, when someone is reborn as a human to later sacrifice himself in order to have us human be forgiven. So, I think, just as the people in the west, it's time that we forgive each other and let everything be new with pure heart and all of that...

break=However, I can't]

However, I can't! Somehow, Lidya fuses me off at this time. And I don't know why, but everyone seems to fuses me, too. Not the nicer ones, though. I didn't speak to her for a couple of days. But, she's very nice in the other hand. I know I'm being reactive. That's how I wanted it to be? To let her control my emotion? I don't know. But, she does. That's against the qualities I stick on my yellow board. Guess I had to stop that. I did, but then again she said something that makes me go: "I didn't do something wrong... why you just back off!"

On the early morning of December 26, we had a thief trying to climb the walls of our new kitchen next to my room. Everybody woke up after my landlord yelled, "Thief! There's a thief!" After that, everybody got out, except for me. I just had my sleep at 2 am, and it's only been one hour. I don't know how many accomplice he got that might have been hiding somewhere nor does he had weapons or something. And she laughed at me for not being out. Oh, yes, go out there! I'm not, I'm being precautios. And she just went, "You must be hella scared!" Then go laughing! Huh? Does she ever think about how I felt? She doesn't even know me that much to judge me. I don't laugh at her jokes after that. It's not funny! >_<##

Later that day, Angki came along and she tell about it again. I want to spend sometime with my brother, here she is talking about it again. Heh? Damn, I got into complaining about her all the time >_< People always know how nice she is and everything, they should live with her for a year to know the real her.

[/break]

On a brighter side. I'm fond of these songs: Josh Groban's You raise me up, Vertical Horizon's I'm still here, Rap Allstars' Last Christmas, Jacky Cheung's Lost Christmas. Jacky's voice is terribly wonderful and the video is just awesome! Safri Duo featuring Clark Anderson, my, what a great piece! I can't wait to get my hands on this single. I forgot the title, though! Oh, and remember that I downloaded various cover version of Wham's Last Christmas? That's Hilary Duff, with one L! Savage Garden! And now Rap Allstars. Wee, the one who sung (besides the rapping), do have a voice like George Michael. Wow!

And Rosmawaty called me! She's in town and she wanted to meet us all! She called Rini first :/ then me, then Rizal. After a lot of screaming and being nostalgic while watching Simon judging on of those definetely looser of American Idols, I hung up and starting to call Feby and Rizal. I'm still hesitating on calling Obi Heck, why not? I'll ask him right away.

Oh, and I saw Indosiar's Fantasy Academy. Boo, copycatters. Anyways, why did that guy cried like hell? He's not the one who got out last night. Love? And, they're not allowed to make phone calls, watch no TV, no newspapers, and nothing. My gosh, how boring could that be! I couldn't live without internet! I was in the library a couple of days ago with Mr. Yo without internet connection. I'm so pissed! I climb six floors just to be left with no internet connection? That sucks! But, he said, I can put the hours in my working time. That means, :E I got paid! XDD

After rearranging some of my files and reads some very old email. I found an email from jeggyjeggy that pinpoint me to the right path of working. I hope I can be that and I did, I was concentrating and putting everything to focus on my job that day, which was to finish the Overview Part of PCU new site. ^.^x But, I think I got a lot to work on, since Pak Yo is using DreamWeaver to input the content to the template. T_T

Oh, and I watched Part One of Helen of Troy. My, she's too skinny to be called beautiful. But, Paris is so damned cuakep, gorgeous! I hope he's not gay! XDD Oh, dear, I'm hungry, got to cook something.

Posted by ephi at 11:43 AM | 2 moo..s

What now?

I got diarrhea for two straight days in the morning. And I couldn't figure out what's wrong. Oh, well, I guess, I better get back and start watching TV, it's Sunday. TV day.

December 30th, 2003

Damn you!

I guess my new year resolution to save some money will have to wait. The landlord is asking for a higher price tag. Guess, I'll move soon. He's asking for another 152K from the current 235K!

OMG, I really like this room, but that price is just too much. It's already pass the midpoint of my monthly allowance from bonyok! Bonyok is a slang for parents in Indonesian T_T Not to mention I've got phone bill to pay, cellphone voucher to buy, monthly spending for toilletries, vitamins, food.

Great, this is the worst Christmas ever. I don't even had any Christmas presents. Not that I want to. We don't have the tradition to do so. I remember mum used to decor our small plastic christmas tree at the beginning of December. My sunday school teacher has hers all year long ^_^;

She's always the one who did that, because we have no attachment on putting up those. But, I remember putting a hanging decor once and I broke it. Since my mum was not in the room, I hid it. I knew it was expensive, so I hid it. XD

And we always put the christmas tree on top of our first refrigerator, we had 4, if I'm not mistaken. But, on the last years, we got a bigger christmas tree and has a special table for it. :/ Once my mum put some presents under the tree and told us to open them at Christmas. It was full of candy bars. It's nice.

And since we don't really got much of a christmas cards, mum always pick the nicest from the past years to be shown with the rest of the snow, it's actually some cotton. I guess, it's because, she doesn't like the trouble sending people cards or was it because her handwriting is unreadable? It's probably why I don't bother to send people cards and stuff on their special occassion.

And now, let's talk about sinetrons XDD I've been watching Bukan Cinderella or Not a Cinderella lately. I guess I'm captivated by the songs. They're beautiful. Even though, it's Sahrul Gunawan who sung them.

I guess, it's because it's like he sing it from his heart that made the songs beautiful. The story itself is not that bad. The emphasis is not on the his richness, but it's on her struggle to provide her family. But what really tickles me was when I heard the real name of her producer, Pak Sam or Pak Samsul :E

RCTI newsreporter Pak Ersa Siregar found dead in Aceh. I feel so bad for his family. He's a very dedicated man. Rest in peace, sir. You'll always be remembered. To comemoreate him, last night they re-run his last report, where he summarizes the root of all evil of what's happening in Aceh, I guess, that is totally correct.

The government is to be blame for not putting up a rightful and clean governance, that people had suffer and dependable that much to the government. About 80% don't have access to education in Indonesia, and those who do have access, take it for granted.

Watching Ersa Siregar in the shoot out reminds me of Christian Amanpour of CNN. Damn, I missed CNN. I hate MTV! Is Rosemary still in Atlanta? Do they still have that special Kids News every afternoon? I know there's no World Beat anymore, since I saw the Music Room, being aired here in MetroTV. It's kinda the same, though. I saw Shakira way before her Laundry Service album in that show. And I saw Ricky Martin's Perdido Sin Ti there, too.

And hey, RCTI played Friends again. Wah, Joey, Chandler, Rachel, damn, I missed the episodes of her giving birth to Ross' baby, Monica, Phoebe, and my favorite, Ross Gellar. Mwa ha ha ha!
